  1. Hey Amy,

Thank you for sharing these facts. I really liked how you mentioned Maui proved his brothers wrong. This shows me that he was a very determined man who wasn't going to take no for an answer. Why do you think Maui has become a legend? What other stories tell us about is incredible powers?

I hope you have a lovely day Amy,
    Megan :)

  2. Konichiwa Amy,

my name is Cia. I am a Summer Learning Journey blogger who will be working with Ako Hiko bloggers over the summer break.
You have posted three good facts. You are right that Māui didn’t think like his brothers, he truly believed in himself even if his brothers didn’t. Why do you think he was so confident? Maybe next time you could include some pictures of Māui, I’m sure they’d love to see the brave and mighty legend!

I love the story about how Māui slowed the sun, I still remember reading it when I was little and being impressed by Māuis incredible strength. Have you read this story before? If you have let me know what you thought, if not maybe you could head to your local library to issue it out.

An awesome start to the Summer Learning Journey, I can’t wait to read more!

Toe feiloa’i fo’i ('See you again' in Samoan),

    Cia.
