Summer learning journey week 3 activity 1

I agree with the three veg and meat rule. I wonder what would happen if you were a vegetarian just vegetables. I I think that everyone should use the three veg and meat rule because it is just the right amount of food not to little not to big. I would love to eat a typical 1950's meal.

  1. Hey Amy,

I love that you have decided to join in with some more Summer Learning Journey activities.

I think you are right that the meat and 3 veg meal is the perfect amount of food for one sitting. I do agree that this rule doesn't work for vegetarians. I feel like today, we have a wider variety of meals and food that allow vegetarians to find their protein and vitamins in other products. Have you thought about whether our diet has changed at all since the 1950's?

In my house we like to eat meals that include meat and 3 veg but we also have a lot of meals that break this rule such as, vegetable lasagna, salads, and spaghetti bolognese. Can you think of any meals you eat in your household that may break this rule?

I hope you have a lovely day,
    Megan :)

  2. Kia Ora,

My name is Toeumu and i am a student in room 3 at Wesley Primary School.

I love that you would choose meat and three veg. I would also choose three veg too because it is the right balance and it is so healthy. Maybe next time you could add a picture to make it more interesting. This reminds me of when i had meat and three veg when i was little and i loved it.

In my house we would sometimes have three meat and veg, like mash potatoes, carrots onions and sausages and other stuff. Other dinners we would break this rule such as, sausage rolls (from the shop), and many other stuff. Can you think of any other food that have meat and three veg?

I hope you have a Wonderful day,
    Toeumu :)
